Online Perspectives: Exact & Engineering believes that a blind peer review process is essential to guarantee a high-quality standard of its published papers.

This journal bases its publication process upon the following guidelines:

► Manuscripts must not have more than 5 authors. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a substantial contribution to the study. The editor may request an author statement which must include the contributions of each listed author to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis or interpretation of data in detail. Both author and coauthor are equally accountable for all content.

► The corresponding authors should ensure their manuscript is original and has not been previously submitted for evaluation in another journal. Each author must allow the inclusion of his/her name to the manuscript. Authors must await the review process conclusion. In case of rejection, the manuscript may be sent to another journal.

► The use of figures and tables from prior published papers must have editor or copyright holder (all authors) authorization.

Online Perspectives: Exact & Engineering does not consider simple abstracts in journals or congresses, senior projects, master’s or doctoral theses as forms of prior publication.

► Copyright statement must be accepted by all authors according to the license Creative Commons 4.0 International. For further information, please visit: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0

► All manuscripts will be verified according to its originality. Thus, a plagiarism verification process will be conducted prior to the review process. Further details on the criteria used for identifying plagiary are described in the section “Plagiarism”. Text-recycling (self-plagiarism) is also not acceptable as it creates repetition of academic literature. Any plagiarized content will not be considered for publication. Due care must be taken to assure correct citation of previous work.

► Raw data may be requested by the editorial board for review if necessary.

Online Perspectives: Exact & Engineering encourages authors to explicitly acknowledge any incompatibility that could be seen as a possible conflict of interest.

► The editorial board must be promptly notified of any relevant error or inaccuracy in order to retract or correct the paper.

► Works that use animals or human beings should be evaluated according to an Ethics Committee which will issue a statement of compliance. The authors should mention the project approval number by the Ethics Committee in the methodology section of the manuscript.

► Similarly, the use of volunteers, patient images or patient case reports requires ethics committee approval and patient/volunteer consent for manuscript submission.
